final project
Here is my final project. I could continue fine-tuning it for days but I’m running out of time and energy.
I’ve learned a tremendous amount in this class and it’s been difficult but I’ve come along way.
I hope I can now give web design a try on my own or I could always email Jenn to have her help me out of a tangle.
Week 12
Lesson Learned after repeating this lesson three time because of problems apparent when viewing in a browser–I switched browsers and everything was fine!
Week 11
• There is extra blue space below the nav bar
• the logo is not flush right
These are the problems I see. I’m sure there are more.
Week 10 exercise
I got the disjointed link photos to work but the text in the navbar disappears and the white circles in the navbar are ???
OLA Pages
Here is a sample layout. I was a bit confused about what the purpose of this site is.
Reading Week 8
These are excellent reference materials. I’m thinking about rethinking my website for class using the markboultondesign.com template.
Designing with Grids: http://www.webdesignerwall.com/trends/grid-and-column-designs/
The CSS Way: or How I Made Friends with the Enemy: http://www.dcwebwomen.org/hotshot/20080123.html
CSS Typography: http://www.digital-web.com/articles/css_typography/
Anyhow, I played about and found you can make a nice ems stylesheet with P text at 1.0 em, and then downsize the whole thing by selecting size in BODY with %, like 76%. It’s simple, easy to change, and works for everything. Score 1 for late nights and coffee. Enjoy.
Revised FOGE file
Here is the revised FOGE file. AFter view all the more interesting layouts in class I tried to jazz mine up a bit.
